These Terms of Use govern Tangled Thistle at tangledthistle.blog and Tangled Thistle editorial tools, applications, submissions, accounts, and features that link to these terms. Tangled Thistle is published by Northern Lantern House LLC.

1. Acceptance and informational use

By using a service governed by these terms, you agree to them to the extent permitted by law. Content and tools are general educational and planning support. They do not create professional event-planning, legal, insurance, venue, accessibility, security, financial, or other professional services or approval. See Disclaimers & Disclosures.

2. Applications and planning tools

Space Lab, Atmosphere OS, calculators, planning systems, and other interactive features may organize information and generate bounded planning outputs. They do not create a booking, quote, executed contract, professional certification, safety approval, legal permission, or guarantee that a venue, vendor, plan, schedule, or budget will work in your circumstances.

3. Acceptable use and system protection

You may not use the site or applications to harm, interfere with, or obtain unauthorized access to systems, data, accounts, or other users. Prohibited conduct includes:

• automated scraping, harvesting, crawling, or bulk extraction without written permission, particularly where it degrades service or circumvents access controls;
• high-volume bots, automated requests, credential stuffing, denial-of-service activity, or attempts to evade rate limits;
• malware, malicious uploads, SQL or database injection, cross-site scripting, code injection, or attempts to alter, probe, exploit, or compromise the service;
• unauthorized penetration or security testing;
• bypassing authentication, entitlement, license, paywall, download, or other access controls;
• reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or extracting restricted source code, protected datasets, venue records, product logic, or application logic except to the extent a right cannot lawfully be restricted;
• using protected content or paid product material as machine-learning training data without written permission; or
• impersonation, infringement, unlawful submissions, or interference with another person’s use of the service.

Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, intellectual property, security, or legal rights.

4. Copyright, intellectual property, and brand use

Unless a separate license says otherwise, writing, photography, illustrations, generated concept imagery, Worlds, layouts, design systems, software, tools, datasets, venue records, product files, and other original material are owned by Northern Lantern House LLC or used with permission. You may link to the work and quote reasonable short excerpts with attribution where law permits. You may not republish substantial portions, mirror the site, redistribute protected files, operate a substitute database, copy a tool or product into a competing service, remove ownership notices, or use Tangled Thistle or Northern Lantern House marks in a way that falsely implies affiliation or endorsement.

5. User submissions

You keep ownership of material you submit. You grant Northern Lantern House LLC a non-exclusive license to use it as reasonably necessary to receive, respond, moderate, investigate, correct, secure, and improve the service, subject to the Privacy Policy. Do not submit confidential contracts, private guest information, or other sensitive information a feature does not need.

6. Accounts and credentials

If an account, license key, secure link, or other credential is issued, keep it reasonably secure. Paid credentials may not be shared except where the applicable product license expressly permits it.

7. External links and third-party services

Venues, vendors, retailers, maps, payment services, embeds, and other third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Northern Lantern House LLC does not control them.

8. Purchases

Purchases from Tangled Thistle are governed by the Terms of Sale. If these Terms of Use conflict with the Terms of Sale regarding a purchase, delivery, license, refund, or paid entitlement, the Terms of Sale control for that issue.

9. Accessibility

Tangled Thistle aims for WCAG 2.2 Level AA across primary reading paths, navigation, forms, checkout, and tools. Work includes keyboard access, meaningful structure, visible focus, adequate contrast, responsive reflow, useful text alternatives, and respect for reduced-motion preferences.

Third-party services may not meet the same standard. Report a barrier through the contact page with the page or tool, what you were trying to do, and relevant device or assistive-technology information. Where reasonably possible, essential information or a primary function will be provided in another usable form while a barrier is addressed.

10. Availability, changes, and data continuity

The site and applications are not promised to be uninterrupted, error-free, permanent, or available on every device. Features may be maintained, revised, corrected, limited, or retired. Keep independent copies of consequential plans and records you cannot afford to lose.

11. Liability and non-waivable rights

The site and tools are provided as is and as available to the fullest extent permitted by law. Liability is limited as described in Disclaimers & Disclosures. Nothing here waives a right or liability that applicable law does not allow to be waived or limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protection or other non-waivable law that applies to you.

13. Changes

These terms may be updated as the service changes. Material revisions are reflected in the effective or last-reviewed date. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
