It is not an event-planning firm and does not provide individualized legal, financial, insurance, security, accessibility, venue, vendor, alcohol-service, weather, or other licensed professional advice.

General information; no professional relationship

Reading an article, using a planning tool, buying a digital product, or contacting Tangled Thistle does not create a planner-client, attorney-client, consultant-client, or other professional relationship or duty of care.

Events, venues, vendors, and changing conditions

Venue rules, pricing, availability, capacity, weather plans, vendor availability, staffing, rentals, insurance, permits, alcohol requirements, fire and life-safety rules, accessibility obligations, transportation conditions, and contract terms can change quickly. Verify consequential facts with the responsible venue, vendor, insurer, public authority, or qualified professional before relying on them for a live event.

Tangled Thistle does not control third-party vendors, venues, carriers, rental houses, caterers, florists, contractors, performers, or service providers and cannot guarantee their pricing, availability, performance, safety, timing, solvency, or fulfillment. A recommendation or venue record is not a booking, quote, executed contract, feasibility guarantee, or warranty of third-party performance.

Applications, calculators, and generated outputs

Tangled Thistle applications, Venue Intelligence, Atmosphere OS, calculators, web editions, planning outputs, reports, and generated recommendations are provided as is and as available to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free output, permanent availability, or freedom from browser, database, network, hosting, synchronization, or software failures.

Keep independent copies of consequential plans, contracts, guest-facing information, production schedules, and vendor records. Do not use a Tangled Thistle application as the only source of a safety-critical, contractual, regulatory, financial, or accessibility decision. A tool output is planning support, not certification or professional approval.

AI-assisted work and human oversight

Automated and generative systems, including tools such as Claude when used, and editing software such as Grammarly when used, may assist with research organization, source discovery, analysis, structure, drafting support, editing, coding, metadata, accessibility work, and production quality assurance. Published editorial work is reviewed and finalized by a human. AI is not treated as the attributed author, a witness, professional judgment, or evidence.

AI may not fabricate firsthand visits, vendor conversations, event execution, venue access, current pricing, measurements, approvals, sources, quotations, or results. Generated or materially altered media that could be mistaken for documentary venue or event evidence should be labeled or presented with clear provenance.

Advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, gifts, and owned products

Tangled Thistle may earn money from display advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, gifted access, licensing, and products or applications owned by Northern Lantern House LLC. A material relationship that could reasonably affect how a recommendation is understood is disclosed before or beside the affected recommendation. A site-wide statement does not replace proximity disclosure.

No commercial relationship purchases a positive verdict, safety claim, correction outcome, venue score, or editorial conclusion.

Originality, brands, and intellectual-property boundaries

Tangled Thistle’s Worlds and design systems are intended to be original. The publication does not intend to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or association with a third-party brand, character, film, book, game, or other protected property merely because an editorial concept shares a broad cultural idea. If a title, image, or concept is found to create a misleading association, it may be renamed, redirected, revised, or removed.

No guaranteed results

An event outcome depends on the venue, vendors, weather, budget, guest behavior, staffing, timing, execution, regulations, and many other conditions outside the publication’s control. Tangled Thistle does not guarantee aesthetic, financial, attendance, guest-experience, vendor, safety, or production outcomes.

Links to venues, vendors, maps, retailers, agencies, payment services, or other websites are provided for context or convenience. We do not control their availability, content, security, pricing, later changes, or policies.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tangled Thistle and Northern Lantern House LLC are not liable for losses arising from reliance on general editorial material, use or inability to use a tool, third-party conduct, data loss, event implementation, weather, vendor failure, venue changes, or decisions made from published material. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Corrections and accountability

Material errors are corrected under the process in the Editorial Standards. Safety, access, venue, regulatory, evidence, and commercial-disclosure issues receive priority. Commercial relationships do not block legitimate corrections.
